Ohio Stone (Gray Gorge) is a blue-gray Dolomite Tynochtee quarried in central Ohio. Many pieces have a dark charcoal coloring on the tops and bottoms of the stone. This stone is a natural, irregularly shaped, broken stone. It is available in many sizes and thicknesses. It weighs approximately 150 lbs per cubic ft.

Random Wallstone — is available in 2”, 3”, and 4” thicknesses. The bed depth is approximately 5”-l0” and the pieces are irregularly shaped. This wallstone has at least 2-3 usable faces and covers approximately 12-15 square ft (face ft) per ton.
Steppers are thin pieces of stone approximately 1”-2” thick with sizes from 8”-20” +It will cover approximately 80-100 square ft per ton.

Small Flagging - are pieces a little thicker than steppers measuring 1 1/2" - 2 1/2" thick and varying from 8”-15” dimensionally. Covers 70-80 square ft per ton.

Large flagging are larger pieces of stone approximately 1 5”-30” + dimensionally and approximately 1 1/2” - 2 1/2” thick. Covers approximately 70-80 square ft per ton.

Outcropping —  refers to large, thick pieces of stone usually 4”-8” thick up to several ft long and several ft deep. Surface areas are 4+ square ft.
